Good morning, Fayette County. Workplace trauma isn't just a buzzwordβ€”it's a reality affecting businesses nationwide, which is why Lima's upcoming safety council meeting on "Fight, Flight & Freeze" comes at a critical time. Mike Thompson's September 9th presentation at the Howard Johnson motel will explore how trauma impacts workforce performance, offering valuable insights for local employers looking to create healthier workplace environments. Meanwhile, sports enthusiasts might appreciate this throwback: despite an eye-popping 100 yards in penalties, Chillicothe's 1989 football squad still managed to overcome Washington Court House 18-7, proving that sometimes determination outweighs mistakes.

Academic excellence is making headlines across Ohio with the release of U.S. News & World Report's high school rankings. Walnut Hills High School in Cincinnati claimed the state's top spot, while eleven Central Ohio schools secured positions in the top 50. The comprehensive evaluation examined everything from college readiness to graduation rates, offering parents and educators valuable benchmarks as the new school year gets underway. Is your alma mater among the academic elite?
