🐾 Microchip magic

Good morning, Fayette County. May has become "Microchip Your Pet Month" for good reason – those tiny devices make all the difference when Fido or Fluffy decides to explore the neighborhood without permission. The Fayette Regional Humane Society is making permanent pet identification more accessible with discounted $25 microchips during their Thursday walk-in wellness clinics. As Brad Adams wisely notes, these rice-sized implants give wandering pets their best chance at a homecoming story when collars fail.

Meanwhile, dedication to community service is being celebrated across generations. The Jeffersonville Lions Club recently honored three long-standing members – Bob Steele, Glenn Rankin, and Marilyn Fannin – for their combined 45 years of service. The club's commitment to nurturing future leaders continues through scholarships awarded to three promising Miami Trace graduates: Abigail Steele, Zoey Blanton, and Addison McClain. From four-legged friends to future professionals, our community continues investing in what matters.

🐾 Pet owners can get discounted microchips during May in Ohio. The Fayette Regional Humane Society is offering $25 microchips at their Thursday walk-in wellness clinics from 10 a.m. to noon. Unlike collars that can fall off, microchips provide permanent identification that significantly increases the chances of reuniting lost pets with their owners. "Microchipping gives pets a chance to find their way back home," explains Brad Adams, the society's chief humane agent. No appointment is necessary for pet owners to take advantage of this special offer during Microchip Your Pet Month.
