William Benson

William J. (Bill) Benson, 93, passed away on May 3, 2025, at his home in Washington Court House, surrounded by his three daughters. Born in 1932 in Columbus, Ohio, Benson served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War before working at Armco Steel for 38 years until his retirement in 1997. After retiring, he enjoyed helping on the Melvin Farm, working on personal projects, assisting others, and attending Grace Community Church. Benson is survived by his three daughters, three grandsons, siblings, and numerous other relatives, while being preceded in death by his wife, Donna.

Charles Scalf

Charles W. Scalf, a 66-year-old resident of Wilmington, died on Sunday, May 4, 2025. His memorial service will be announced at a later date. Littleton Funeral Home in Sabina is handling the funeral arrangements. No other details about his life or survivors were provided in the brief obituary notice.

Helen "Janet" Harper

Helen "Janet" Harper, 83, passed away on May 5, 2025, at her home in Washington CH after a long illness. A 1959 graduate of Frankfort High School, Janet was a talented musician who served as a pianist and organist at the First Church of the Nazarene for many years. She was also an in-home caregiver for children, a skilled seamstress, and enjoyed gardening and homemaking. Janet is survived by her husband of 65 years, Jim Harper, her three children, four grandchildren, and one brother, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
