🌷 Spring buzz

Fayette County • March 10, 2025

Good morning, Fayette County. March is bursting with activity around our community like spring flowers pushing through the soil. From high school students belting out ABBA tunes in "Mamma Mia!" to 4-H kids showing off robotics projects during their celebratory week, there's a palpable energy in the air. Even the Mindful Makers sensory playgroup and Art Club sessions at the YMCA are giving our youngest residents creative outlets as winter winds down.

Meanwhile, Highland County voters should mark their calendars for some important civic decisions ahead. The May ballot will feature several issues including a Health Department levy replacement and the statewide Issue 2 for infrastructure improvements. No need to fret about candidate choices though – all certified candidates are running unopposed and will automatically advance to November's ballot. Remember, April 7 is your registration deadline if you plan to participate in the primary.
