Good morning, Fairfield County. Mark your calendars for July 4, 2025, when Lancaster will transform into a patriotic playground for what's shaping up to be an epic Independence Day celebration. The community-funded extravaganza will take over both the Fairfield County Fairgrounds and downtown areas, offering a full day of festivities from the 10:00 AM parade kickoff through a spectacular fireworks finale that will light up the night sky.

Between those bookend events, visitors can fill their day with amusement rides, local cuisine from food vendors, and browsing arts and crafts booths from noon until 10:00 PM. The soundtrack to your celebration will feature DJ Mike O'Riley spinning tunes and live performances by Justice 3:16, building toward that magical moment when the National Anthem signals the start of the fireworks display. A small parking fee supports the non-profit committee's efforts to keep this celebration of American freedom accessible to all.
