Good morning, Fairfield County. Step back in time this Sunday as the Fairfield County Fairgrounds unlocks 175 years of local history. From June 1st's guided tours with costumed volunteers to vintage automobiles gleaming in the summer sun, this celebration transforms our community's past into a living museum. The modest entry fee of five dollars (or three canned goods) cleverly connects our heritage to present-day needs, supporting Maywood Mission's hunger relief efforts.

Meanwhile, transitions mark neighboring communities as Hocking County prepares for Health Commissioner Doug Fisher's 2025 retirement after four decades of service. Creativity flourishes at Logan-Hocking Middle School thanks to timely donations funding new art equipment, while local MMA fighter Jordan "Butters" Burkholder continues putting our region on the map with his recent championship victory. Closer to home, Lancaster's municipal court processed a sobering 22 criminal cases in a single week, reflecting the complex tapestry of challenges and triumphs that shape our county.
