Good morning, Fairfield County. Did you know there's a museum in Ohio dedicated entirely to pencil sharpeners? Just 45 minutes from Columbus, Paul A. Johnson's quirky collection offers a surprisingly fascinating five-minute detour during your next Hocking Hills adventure. From city skylines to comic book characters, these thousands of functional miniatures prove that extraordinary passion can emerge from the most ordinary objects.
Beyond unusual attractions, our community continues to celebrate remarkable lives and achievements. We remember Jean West Henson, whose love for gardening and family bloomed for 86 years, while 69 high school seniors have just sharpened their futures with trade certificates in high-demand fields. Former NFL player Bobby Carpenter offered these graduates wisdom worth noting: "make each day count" – advice that resonates whether you're starting a career, tending a garden, or simply appreciating life's more pointed curiosities.
