Good morning, Fairfield County. Central Ohio's housing landscape is transforming before our eyes, with projections indicating at least 10,000 new units will be needed over the next decade. County officials aren't sitting idle—they've launched an ambitious study to identify market gaps and create strategies for a balanced housing market. Meanwhile, Canal Winchester is already seeing this growth firsthand, with a proposal for 122 new apartments on Hill Road that local business owners view as vital to supporting incoming employers like Anduril.

The results are in from recent school funding measures, revealing a community divided on educational priorities. Marysville residents stepped up to approve a significant 10-year levy that will cost property owners $193 per $100,000 of value, while voters in Groveport Madison, Jonathan Alder, and other districts rejected their bond issues. Walnut Township's tax renewal squeaked by with just a 10-vote margin—a powerful reminder that in local elections, every ballot truly counts.
