๐Ÿก Sticker shock special

Fairfield County • February 28, 2025

โ€‹

Good morning, Fairfield County. If you're feeling a bit of real estate sticker shock lately, you're not alone. Ohio's most exclusive addresses are now commanding jaw-dropping price tags of $1.5 million in places like Hunting Valley and The Village of Indian Hill - the kind of numbers that make your average mortgage calculator do a double-take. Even with interest rates playing hard to get at 6.85%, these luxury markets are partying like it's 2021.

On a more somber note, our community rallies around the residents of Quarry Road after an early morning blaze this weekend. But amid challenging times, there's inspiring news from our local Salvation Army, whose record-breaking $110,350 Red Kettle campaign proves that when Fairfield County comes together, we don't just ring bells - we move mountains. Those festive kettles helped bring Christmas cheer to 868 families, turning spare change into real change.

๐Ÿ  Ohio's priciest homes hit jaw-dropping $1.5 million in two elite communities. Hunting Valley and The Village of Indian Hill lead Ohio's most expensive real estate markets, with typical home values soaring well above other metropolitan areas. The Columbus metro area dominates the top 30 list with 11 cities, followed by Cleveland-Elyria with 8 spots. Home values across these upscale communities have seen remarkable five-year growth, with many areas experiencing increases of over 40%. Despite rising mortgage rates hovering at 6.85%, these luxury markets continue to show strength with annual price gains.
