Good morning, Dublin. Small town America is about to undergo a dramatic transformation in Groveport, where 295 acres of farmland will soon give way to a massive residential development. The newly approved Addison Groveport project could increase the town's population by a third when construction begins in 2027, bringing a mix of housing options to accommodate workers for a nearby weapons plantโthough not without significant concerns from current residents about infrastructure strain and lost agricultural heritage.
Franklin County's commercial real estate market is showing signs of vitality with the $5.2 million Hampton Inn sale on Hamilton Road, part of a wave of high-value property transactions across the region. Meanwhile, Columbus police had their hands full when a routine business check turned into something straight out of a crime dramaโofficers discovered drugs, pills, and firearms during a late-night raid at a nail salon, resulting in three arrests and multiple charges.
