Good morning, Dublin. Literature lovers, mark your calendars! The Columbus Book Festival is returning July 12-13 with an impressive lineup of 200 authors and expectations to exceed last year's 40,000 attendees. The free two-day event at the Main Library and Topiary Park will feature 120 authors on panels spanning genres from romance to fantasy, plus a festival bookstore, signing opportunities, and family activities. New this year: beer and cold beverages join the food trucks to "feed both your body and your brain."

Community hearts are heavy with the passing of Shirley Ann Peters Drumm, a 74-year-old Marysville matriarch whose talents shaped countless lives. The Vogue College of Fashion graduate created wedding dresses, maintained band uniforms, co-owned "Pete's Diner," and mentored young women while building a 53-year marriage and raising three children. Meanwhile, Jewish leaders in Columbus have condemned a terror attack in Boulder, Colorado, where eight people were injured during a gathering for Israeli hostages.

A talented seamstress who graduated from Vogue College of Fashion, Shirley created wedding dresses and served as uniform technician for Marysville High School's marching band. Beyond her creative talents, she co-owned "Pete's Diner," mentored young women through Eastern Star and Rainbow Girls, and cherished time with her family at their lake house and Tennessee cabins.
