Good morning, Dublin. The long arm of justice reached across state lines this week as Clyde Littlefield, already serving 19 years for manslaughter in Ohio, received an additional six-year federal sentence for illegal firearm possession in West Virginia. His combined sentences mean the 25-year-old likely won't see freedom until 2045. In another sobering case, Becky Gillespie will spend the next 23 years behind bars after pleading guilty to horrific child abuse charges involving a 3-year-old victim.
Amid these troubling headlines, a bright spot emerges for local coffee enthusiasts. Alchemy, the beloved Columbus cafe, is brewing up excitement with plans for its third location inside Hilliard's The Well recreation center this fall. The expansion continues the popular establishment's growth throughout Central Ohio, offering another destination where Dublin residents can soon gather for their favorite caffeinated creations.
