๐ Dublin police will deploy drones to respond to emergencies this spring. The department is launching four autonomous drones stationed across the city that can travel at 45 mph and reach any location in about 90 seconds. These aerial responders will assist with various situations including alarm calls, missing persons, fleeing suspects, traffic accidents, and suspicious activity reports. According to Sergeant Andrew Clark, the Drone Unit supervisor, having eyes on the scene before officers arrive will make responses safer and more efficient. Each drone can fly for approximately 30 minutes and can be piloted remotely from anywhere in the city.
