Good morning, Dev Test County. Dallas Pride is getting a Texas-sized boost this June as the historic Oak Lawn Band joins forces with RuPaul's Drag Race royalty Raja for STRUT Dallas. The iconic LGBTQ musical group, celebrating over four decades of using music as a vehicle for inclusion, will perform at The Round-Up Saloon on June 14 during a high-energy celebration that includes multiple performers, DJs, and a charity auction benefiting local LGBTQ organizations.

Meanwhile, fatherhood is being redefined through Joseph Thomas's revolutionary All Pro Dad program at Wilmer-Hutchins Elementary School. What began as one security officer's mission to engage absent fathers has blossomed into a district-wide movement, with Thomas and his college student son working as partners to create meaningful father-child connections. In stark economic contrast, a new SmartAsset study reveals the sobering reality that comfortable living in North Texas now requires over $213,000 annually—more than double Dallas's median household income.

👨‍👦 Dallas security officer revolutionizes fatherhood through school mentorship program. Joseph Thomas launched an All Pro Dad chapter at Wilmer-Hutchins Elementary School, creating a model for engaging absent fathers in their children's education. The program, which includes monthly breakfasts and practical parenting tools, was inspired by Thomas's own experience growing up without a father. Thomas and his son Jayvon work as partners, with the younger Thomas using his college NIL money to fund program meals while his father handles operations. The initiative has gained such momentum that it's now spreading throughout Dallas ISD, redefining father involvement in education.
