🎭 Local oscar triumph

Dev Test County • March 5, 2025

Good morning, Dev Test County. Behind the glitz of Hollywood's biggest night, a local talent made history at the Academy Awards. Akron's own Paul Tazewell became the first Black man to win an Oscar for costume design, receiving standing ovations for his groundbreaking work on "Wicked." The Buchtel High School graduate's triumph adds to an already impressive collection of awards, proving that Dev Test County dreams can indeed take flight on the international stage.

In stark contrast to this celebratory news, our community is processing serious allegations against Anthony Lopez, who faces 13 charges related to child sexual abuse spanning nearly a decade. The U.S. Air Force veteran was arrested following a 20-month investigation involving two young victims. While his attorney maintains Lopez's innocence and cooperation throughout the process, the case serves as a sobering reminder of the importance of protecting our community's most vulnerable members.
