The festival celebrates diverse jazz traditions with performances spanning from New Orleans to South Africa, including free regional jazz concerts in the plaza. Festival passes are available for $300 until April 1, with individual concert tickets released afterward.

🎵 Akron's Len Chandler turned folk music into a weapon for justice. The civil rights activist marched with Martin Luther King Jr., befriended Bob Dylan, and became a powerful voice in the 1960s protest movement. His journey from East Akron musician to civil rights champion included performing at the historic March on Washington and surviving violent attacks from segregationists. After moving to Los Angeles, he co-founded the influential Los Angeles Songwriters Showcase, helping launch careers of artists like Stevie Nicks and Warren Zevon. Chandler passed away in 2023 at 88, leaving a legacy of social consciousness and his motto: "Keep on keepin' on."
