Good morning, Darke County. The spirit of generosity is in full bloom across our community this week. At the Salvation Army's Community Support Giveaway in Sidney, local resident Donna Marlow joined countless others searching through free clothing, household items, and toys—a powerful reminder that sometimes the most meaningful community support comes in the form of practical necessities freely given. Meanwhile, the Darke County Township Association is celebrating another successful fair season, with nine lucky residents taking home hams donated by Winner's Meats in their popular daily drawing.

On a more serious note, Piqua Central Intermediate School officials and law enforcement are addressing menacing threats made by two students, part of a busy week for local police that included reports of burglaries and multiple vehicle crashes. The swift response highlights the ongoing partnership between school resource officers and administrators working to maintain safe learning environments throughout the region.
