Good morning, Cuyahoga County. Infrastructure improvements are making waves across Shaker Heights this month, with an $8 million sewer project tackling the unglamorous but essential task of preventing sewage overflow. The massive undertaking will protect 1,200 properties from basement flooding and reduce pollution across a 250-acre service area. Residents can learn more at Thursday's community meeting, where officials will outline the four-phase construction plan set to continue through 2026.

In a parallel transformation of the city's landscape, Lee Road is getting a complete makeover with dedicated bike lanes replacing one car lane. The $24.5 million project represents a significant shift toward multimodal transportation, creating both in-road bike lanes and an off-road cycle track. Meanwhile, Cleveland police are seeking public assistance after surveillance cameras captured images of a suspect breaking into the Lorain Road branch of Cleveland Public Library earlier this month.
