Good morning, Cuyahoga County. A facility once infamous enough to be featured in the hit podcast "Serial" has finally shuttered its doors. East Cleveland's jail closed in December after inspectors uncovered a staggering 147 violations, from exposed wiring to broken security cameras and plumbing failures. The closure follows years of documented problems, including the disturbing case of Arnold Black who was held for days in a storage room without basic necessities – a situation that eventually cost the city $30 million in court judgments.

On a lighter note, adrenaline seekers will soon have a new reason to visit Cleveland's western suburbs as K1 Speed plans to bring its indoor electric go-kart experience to Avon. Meanwhile, an investigation continues after two people were shot late Friday night at CMHA's Haltnorth Walk housing complex, with both victims expected to recover from their injuries as authorities search for suspects.
