Good morning, Cuyahoga County. Freedom rings throughout Cleveland this month as Juneteenth celebrations unfold across the city. From downtown's vibrant Freedom Fest to cultural workshops at libraries and community centers, residents can immerse themselves in a rich tapestry of concerts, art-making sessions, and family activities commemorating the end of slavery. Many events are free and accessible, with standout offerings including ThirdSpace Action Lab's month-long "Bet on Black" programming and a unique Queer and Black Liberation event at the Rock Hall.

Meanwhile, Northeast Ohio welcomes home one of its own as Beth Zayicek returns to lead real estate investment firm Citymark after 17 years at Invesco. Her homecoming coincides with concerning news from Berea, where police arrested a 33-year-old man on drug charges after a Cleveland resident claimed he was being held against his will—a stark reminder that behind our community's celebrations and successes, vigilance remains essential.
