Cuyahoga County • March 14, 2025
Good morning, Cuyahoga County. The numbers don't lie – Ohio cities have landed firmly on America's "unhappiest places" list, with Cleveland claiming the unfortunate distinction of ranking #182 out of nearly 200 cities nationwide. While factors from employment to weather contributed to this sobering assessment, there's a silver lining on our horizon that might just boost those happiness metrics: the Cleveland Metroparks' newly announced 2025 race series offers four opportunities to enjoy our natural spaces while improving those well-being scores.
On a more transformative note, East Cleveland's Circle East District is turning neglect into opportunity with an ambitious housing development spanning 30 acres. The project's modern townhouses and single-family homes – complete with solar panels and EV chargers – represent more than just new housing; they symbolize a community's vision coming to life after nearly a decade of planning. Sometimes the path to happiness begins with building something new from the ground up.
