Good morning, Clermont County. The justice system faces a sobering test as Adam Montunnas allegedly attacked the same domestic violence victim while out on bond, leading to a SWAT standoff and his eventual capture hiding in bushes near his parents' Bethel home. This third domestic violence charge in two years raises critical questions about protecting vulnerable individuals, as the suspect now faces additional charges including strangulation at his Thursday court appearance.

Academic excellence continues shining at Seven Hills School, which has maintained its crown as Cincinnati's top private high school in Niche's 2026 rankings. The Madisonville institution outpaced The Schilling School for Gifted Children and Cincinnati Country Day School based on factors like college enrollment rates and student-teacher ratios. Meanwhile, Hamilton County administrators are tackling a record $60 million budget deficit amid economic uncertainty, with departments being asked to help close the gap before mid-October's budget proposal.

💰 Hamilton County faces record $60 million budget deficit. County Administrator Jeff Aluotto warns of "challenging" times ahead as department budget requests grow while revenue plateaus. Economic uncertainty, falling interest rates, and slowing sales tax growth all contribute to the financial strain.
