Good morning, Clermont County. Historic preservation just received a major lifeline in Cincinnati as Governor DeWine vetoed a provision that would have eliminated a crucial tax credit program. This decision safeguards the financial backbone behind hundreds of millions in private investment throughout the Queen City's urban core, ensuring the continued transformation of historic buildings into vibrant new spaces. The ripple effects of this preservation victory will be felt throughout downtown's ongoing renaissance.

In other local developments, the University of Cincinnati's leadership ranks are expanding with Larry Sheakley's appointment to a 9-year term on UC's Board of Trustees. The business leader's entrepreneurial experience and previous contributions to campus facilities make him a natural fit for the role. Meanwhile, a somber note from Warren County, where at least one person lost their life Tuesday afternoon in a multi-vehicle crash at State Route 123 and Robinson Vail Road in Franklin.
