Good morning, Clermont County. The Cincinnati food scene continues its delicious evolution with Northstar Cafe opening its seventh area location at Kenwood Towne Centre this week. Known for its health-conscious menu and sustainable practices, this expansion represents another chapter in the region's growing culinary story—one that recently included a brewery hitting the market and a new late-night taco destination in Covington.

Beyond restaurants, our area's history contains some truly bizarre real estate tales. From surveyor Joseph Gest's 1800s measuring mistakes that created the "Gest Standard" still affecting downtown property deeds today, to America's longest-running court case (finally resolved in 2019), Cincinnati's property quirks span centuries. Even the Public Landing was mysteriously relocated despite being designated for public use "forever"—proving that our region's past is every bit as fascinating as its present.

🔥 Lincoln Heights mayor slams police response to Nazi rally. Ruby Kinsey-Mumphrey criticized Evendale's report on a February 2025 Nazi demonstration near the predominantly African American community, calling it incomplete and tone-deaf. She expressed outrage that the hate group was treated with "respect and familiarity" while not being asked to identify themselves or remove masks. The mayor highlighted how terrifying such rallies are for African American communities given Nazis' history of violence. 🏠 Cincinnati's quirky real estate history spans centuries of odd land disputes. From its beginnings as a developer's subdivision to surveyor errors that "lost" five acres downtown, the city's property stories are fascinating and bizarre. Joseph Gest's measuring mistakes in the 1800s created the "Gest Standard" that still affects downtown property deeds today. The city also witnessed America's longest-running court case (a land trust finally resolved in 2019) and even saw its Public Landing mysteriously relocated despite being designated for public use "forever."
