Good morning, Clermont County. The sonic landscape of Ohio is about to explode with over 30 must-see summer concerts spanning every genre imaginable. From rock legends Stevie Nicks and Lynyrd Skynyrd to contemporary stars like Hozier, music lovers have a packed calendar through August. Even local porches will transform into stages during the neighborhood-based Dayton Porchfest, proving you don't need a stadium to create musical magic.

While humans rock out above ground, Ohio's remarkable reptiles face a quieter but more urgent struggle. Despite surviving virtually unchanged for 200 million years, nearly half of our 45 native species now face endangerment due to habitat loss. In more uplifting news, Loveland teen Grant has put our county on the map by dominating the national robot combat tournament with a perfect 6-0 record against competitors from across the country—including famous Battlebots stars.

🦎 Ohio's reptiles face a perilous future despite their remarkable history. The Buckeye State is home to over 45 native reptile species, including 12 turtle varieties that have remained virtually unchanged for 200 million years. While most people fear snakes, only three of Ohio's native species are venomous, with the rest being harmless and beneficial pest controllers. Alarmingly, nearly half of these reptiles are now endangered, threatened, or of concern due to habitat loss and pollution. Residents can help by watching roads, giving reptiles space, avoiding pesticides, and educating themselves about these essential creatures.
