Good morning, Clermont County. Mark your calendars for a country music takeover this August! The star-studded Voices of America Country Music Fest returns to West Chester's VOA Metropark with headliners Carrie Underwood, Hardy, Bailey Zimmerman, and Darius Rucker commanding the stage. This four-day sonic celebration (August 7-10) promises to be one of the region's most anticipated summer events, with single-day and full-festival passes available now for country fans eager to secure their spot.

Meanwhile, the future of Hyde Park Square hangs in the balance as Cincinnati voters prepare to decide the fate of a controversial $150 million development project this November. The referendum secured its ballot position after petitioners gathered an impressive 13,434 valid signatures. On the financial front, early retirement planners should note that Rule 72(t) and the Rule of 55 offer potential pathways to access retirement funds without penalties—valuable knowledge for anyone eyeing an earlier exit from the workforce.

🏢 Hyde Park Square's fate heads to November ballot. Cincinnati voters will decide whether to overturn City Council's approval of a controversial $150 million development project after petitioners gathered over 18,000 signatures. The Hamilton County Board of Elections certified 13,434 valid signatures, far exceeding the 9,251 required. The referendum allows voters to potentially block what opponents call a "dramatic zoning overhaul" that they believe ignores community wishes. Meanwhile, developers remain committed to their vision but indicate willingness to engage with the community as the process moves forward.

💰 Early retirement doesn't mean penalty-free access to your funds. Rule 72(t) allows for penalty-free withdrawals from retirement accounts through "substantially equal periodic payments" that must continue for five years or until age 59½. Another option is the Rule of 55, which permits penalty-free withdrawals from employer-sponsored plans if you leave your job at 55 or older. Financial experts also emphasize the importance of tax diversification, including taxable brokerage accounts that offer withdrawal flexibility without age restrictions. For credit scores, anything above 780 typically qualifies for the best interest rates, so an 803 score is excellent.
