Good morning, Clermont County. Our community is mourning the tragic loss of 17-year-old Sajandeep Singh, a Lakota Local Schools student who died following a head-on collision in Liberty Township last week. As crisis response teams mobilize to support those affected by this heartbreaking event, we're reminded of how deeply connected our local community truly is – a connection further demonstrated by Orleans American Legion Post #69, which recently donated over $1,500 to the Chamber of Commerce from their annual Dogwood Carnival proceeds.
Small businesses are set to receive a significant boost as West Chester Township renews its popular Spark grant program with $100,000 allocated for 2024. Starting June 1, local entrepreneurs can apply for up to $10,000 in matching funds for exterior improvements, with priority given to businesses along key corridors. Last year's program generated an impressive $300,000 in total improvements across 16 projects, showcasing how public investment often catalyzes even greater private investment in our community's future.

💰 Local Legion donates over $1,500 to Orleans Chamber of Commerce. Orleans American Legion Post #69 presented a check for $1,521.72 representing 10% of its Dogwood Carnival earnings. The Legion partnered with Funtime Carnival of Cincinnati for this year's successful event. This carnival serves as the Legion's only "fun-raiser" of the year during the annual Dogwood Festival. The donation follows the town's tradition where local fundraising groups contribute a portion of their profits to support Orleans' signature April event.
