Good morning, Clermont County. The staggering $24.3 billion sale of Worldpay to Global Payments is sending ripples through the financial world, creating a payments processing behemoth that will serve over six million customers across 175 countries. While the deal promises global growth, it also carries the sobering reality of potential job losses as the company looks to trim $600 million in annual costs by "eliminating duplicative corporate structures" at the Symmes Township-based operation.

Meanwhile, contrasting stories of wealth define our other headlines today. P&G faces a billion-dollar challenge from tariffs, with price increases likely coming after July as the consumer goods giant navigates what executives call a "challenging and volatile environment." On a more personal scale, 39-year-old wealth adviser Jim Daffin has found his own financial balance – prioritizing 5 a.m. workouts and Saturday mornings with his kids over alarms, earning the family nickname "Vanilla" for his refreshingly simple approach to life.

💰 Jim Daffin balances wealth management with family-focused simplicity. The 39-year-old adviser at Realize Wealth Management prioritizes Saturday mornings with his kids over alarms and cherishes backyard pool time with family. Soon to welcome his fourth child, Daffin maintains discipline with 5 a.m. HIIT workouts before his household wakes. Despite his financial expertise, he's earned the nickname "Vanilla" from family members for his self-described boring nature and admits he's never learned to drive a stick shift.

💳 Worldpay sells for a staggering $24.3 billion to Global Payments. The mammoth deal brings together two payments processing giants to serve more than six million customers across 175 countries. Based in Greater Cincinnati, Worldpay has changed hands multiple times in recent years, returning to its Symmes Township headquarters just months ago after being purchased by GTCR. The acquisition likely means job losses as Global Payments aims to cut $600 million in annual costs through "eliminating duplicative corporate structures." Despite potential antitrust concerns, Global Payments CEO expressed confidence, calling the businesses "highly complementary" with minimal overlap.

💰 P&G may raise prices to offset billion-dollar tariff impact. The consumer goods giant faces an estimated $1-1.5 billion annual hit from tariffs in what executives describe as a "challenging and volatile environment." While price increases likely won't happen until after July, P&G is also exploring changes to product sourcing, formulation, and improving productivity to mitigate costs. The company reported modest third-quarter growth but lowered its full-year guidance, causing shares to drop 5%. Analysts expressed concern about declining volumes in key segments as price-sensitive consumers increasingly seek value.
