Good morning, Clermont County. When severe weather rolls through Ohio, it demands attention. The National Weather Service is tracking strong showers moving southeast at 20 mph with winds reaching up to 45 mph—powerful enough to damage tree limbs and send unsecured items flying. If you're near Alum Creek State Park, Dublin, or traveling on I-71 today, consider this your cue to seek sturdy shelter until the storm passes around 2:30 PM.

In brighter news, history continues being made right here at home. Judge Anita Bechmann, the first female judge in county history, will receive the prestigious 2025 Champions of Hope award for establishing a specialized mental health docket that connects vulnerable individuals with clinical services. Meanwhile, at UC, medical sciences student Charlie Harker is redefining her career path through the NEXT Innovation Scholars program, tackling complex healthcare challenges with fresh, interdisciplinary approaches.
