🌲 Wood You Believe It

Cincinnati • February 19, 2025

Good morning, Cincinnati. Move over steel and glass - wood is having its moment in the Queen City. Cincinnati Public Radio's groundbreaking $32M mass-timber headquarters isn't just making waves in architectural circles; it's redefining what a broadcast facility can be. With exposed wooden beams and natural warmth throughout its 35,000 square feet, it's like NPR meets Nordic design sensibility.

While some are building up, others are tearing down to make way for the future. As developers complete their ambitious 8-acre assembly near UC's campus, student creatives are already reshaping our city's reputation. Their viral marketing campaign wrapping beauty products around global landmarks proves that Cincinnati's next generation of talent isn't just thinking outside the box - they're thinking around Big Ben.

🏗️ Cincinnati developers demolish final building in massive University-area acquisition. A joint venture between Uptown Rental Properties and North American Properties has secured control of approximately 8 acres near UC's campus, following the demolition of a historic 1905 building. The developers paid $500,000 for the final property at 7 E. McMillan Street, completing a land assembly process that began in 2014. While previous plans for a large multifamily complex never materialized, the site's proximity to UC makes it one of Cincinnati's most promising development opportunities. The developers haven't revealed their plans for the consolidated property yet.
