๐Ÿฅ Healthcare on the rise

Athens County • January 3, 2025

Good morning, Athens County. Move over, Mayo Clinic - our hometown hospital is proving that world-class healthcare isn't just for big cities. O'Bleness Hospital's latest national excellence award places it among the top 25% of rural hospitals nationwide, showing that when it comes to keeping Athens healthy, our medical teams are bringing their A-game to every shift.

Meanwhile, our community's wellness offerings are expanding in every direction. While the Athens KTC Buddhist Center opens its doors for Sunday morning meditation sessions, the American Legion Post 229 is serving up the kind of hearty breakfast that makes weekend mornings worth getting up for. From healing bodies to nurturing spirits (and appetites), Athens County knows how to take care of its own.
