Biscuits, big trucks & Appalachian superstitions await 👀
Good morning, Meigs County. Pomeroy is about to get a serious holiday glow-up — a $10,000 AEP Ohio Foundation grant is funding a brand-new community Christmas tree and festive lighting at Court Street Commons, turning downtown into the kind of seasonal gathering spot that actually makes you want to linger. Consider it an early gift to the whole county.
Racine is also warming up for Party in the Park, which sounds like exactly the late-summer energy we all need. Nationally, the Fed's rate decision is today, Treasury yields are flexing at 5.02%, and Wall Street is doing its best impression of a nervous wreck. Closer to home, the events calendar has real personality this week — biscuit baking, a fall work weekend, and a truck cruise-in. Fresh listings are inside too.
