Good morning, Delaware County. Dublin is about to wage war on parking lots — and honestly, good riddance. The city's Metro Center Revitalization Plan wants to flip 90-plus acres of asphalt into walkable streets, green space, and actual places worth visiting. It's ambitious, it's years away, but it's the kind of thinking that turns suburban sprawl into somewhere people actually want to live. On the financial front, two local government entities earned clean-audit recognition from the state auditor, and NexTier officially completed its merger with Riverside Bank of Dublin.
Beyond the headlines, the library calendar is stacking up nicely for the toddler crowd this week — Storytime hits Orange and Delaware branches over the next few days. Fresh real estate listings, local sports scores, and this week's obituaries are all waiting inside.

Dublin eyes major transformation of Metro Center as walkable mixed-use district
🏙️ Dublin, Ohio wants to turn a sea of parking lots into a vibrant neighborhood. The city's Metro Center Revitalization Plan, adopted in December 2024, aims to transform roughly 210 acres of suburban office park — including over 90 acres of asphalt — into a walkable, mixed-use district with housing, retail, restaurants, and green space. City planners envision trail connections, a linear park along Frantz Road, and links to surrounding neighborhoods, while keeping Metro Center a key employment hub. A Planning and Zoning Commission work session is scheduled for Sept. 17, with City Council expected to vote on rezoning in winter 2026-27. Read more
