Needles, pages & a texture walk? Your week just got interesting 🧵
Good morning, Meigs County. Local deputies wrapped up a major drug trafficking investigation this week, arresting two people and seizing large amounts of suspected fentanyl from a county home — a reminder that community safety often comes down to the quiet, persistent work happening behind the scenes. On a lighter note, Eastern Meigs picked up a win on the field, which is exactly the kind of hometown momentum worth celebrating.
Nationally, Wall Street is doing its usual anxious dance — jobs data, oil prices, and Fed rate speculation have traders on edge, though one Fed governor's cooler tone gave markets a brief exhale. Closer to home, the week's social calendar has real charm: needlework networking, a book club, and a quilting crew meetup are all on deck. Fresh real estate listings are inside too.
