A texture walk, a paint-along & something quietly changing lives 🧡
Good morning, Meigs County. Here's a small but mighty thing happening today: Meigs County Schools is running its monthly food pantry distribution in Pomeroy this afternoon, quietly making a real difference for local families. It's the kind of community effort that doesn't make headlines but absolutely should.
On the national front, unemployment claims just fell to levels not seen since 1969 — which is either very reassuring or a little surreal depending on your mood — while the Fed's recent rate hike continues to rattle markets and stir up plenty of debate in Washington. On the lighter side of things, the events section has a paint-along, a texture walk through downtown Pomeroy, and a book club meetup coming up soon. Fresh real estate listings and a Financial Friday goal-setting tip are inside too.
