A 2-year-old, a commissioner, and Messi all had a rough weekend 😔
Good morning, Franklin County. Columbus delivered one of the most stunning results in MLS this weekend — a stoppage-time winner against Inter Miami, handing Lionel Messi his first loss in what had been a nearly perfect season. Even the greatest player on the planet couldn't escape Crew Stadium with a win. On a heavier note, the community is grieving after a 2-year-old boy was found dead in a retention pond near the Polaris area, with investigators working to piece together what happened. Closer to county government, a dispute involving Commissioner Erica Crawley and police at a summer concert has triggered a formal inspector general review.
Nationally, U.S.-China trade tensions got a rare moment of calm, and the AI world had its own strange week. Fresh Real Estate listings are inside too.
