Harness horses chasing history + a glow night that'll surprise you ✨
Good morning, Delaware County. It's officially fair week — the rides are spinning, the food is fried, and the Delaware County Fair is in full swing through September 26. And if that's not enough county pride for one week, three local harness horses are closing in on Ohio Triple Crown glory, with the stakes race at Eldorado Scioto Downs setting up what could be a historic finish. On the development front, commissioners moved forward on annexing nearly 58 acres of the former Debolt Farm into Galena, with zoning reviews next as the area's growth story keeps writing itself.
Washington had its usual whirlwind week on the national side. Closer to home, autumn festival season is ramping up — Henmick Farm kicks off Thursday — fresh listings are inside, and Financial Friday has a smart tip for trimming your monthly subscriptions.
