Good morning, Jackson County. Turns out FFA students from Jackson, Oak Hill, and Wellston don't just study agriculture — they show up for it. Local kids pitched in to make a regional hog fundraiser a success, proving that farming roots run deep around here. Meanwhile, Wall Street is having a rough week of its own: a red-hot economy sent bond yields climbing and stocks tumbling, which sounds counterintuitive until you remember that too much good news makes the Federal Reserve very nervous very quickly.
On the legal front, a federal judge handed the White House a loss over a press access ban — a media spat that turned into a constitutional moment. When you're ready for something more fun, the Lighted Ghost Craft Workshop, Jackson Band, and Mulgee Run live music are all coming up fast. Fresh Real Estate listings are inside too.
