A chase, a charge, and $3.2M changing everything 👀
Good morning, Cuyahoga County. $3.2 million is heading to John Carroll University — the biggest federal grant in school history — to expand mental health counseling graduate programs at a time when the country could really use more of them. On the murkier side of local news, a former county prosecutor is now facing an obstruction of justice charge, and a road rage gun incident somehow turned into a multi-city chase and a jurisdictional puzzle worthy of a law school exam.
Nationally, Treasury yields climbed to fresh two-decade highs, making borrowing feel about as fun as it sounds — which is why today's Financial Friday tip on automating index fund contributions hits especially well. Local sports scores, fresh real estate listings, and this week's obituaries are all tucked inside.
