Good morning, Athens County. Nelsonville-York's Grant Elliott has now returned three interceptions for touchdowns this season, which is the kind of stat that makes opposing quarterbacks lose sleep. Meanwhile, Ohio University students have until October 5th to register to vote — local organizations are ready to help, so no excuses. On the national front, a stronger-than-expected jobs report is keeping economists busy and Wall Street on edge, while Labor Day gas prices hit record highs and made every road trip feel like a financial decision.
Closer to home, the calendar is heating up nicely — Adult Crafternoon on the 15th, a Bluegrass Documentary Film Screening on the 17th, and the Meet Cute Book Fair on the 19th are all worth circling. Fresh real estate listings are inside too.
