Zombies, cowboys & a guilty plea you won't see coming π
β
Good morning, Jackson County. Crown her. Sophie Williams is Jackson High School's new Homecoming Queen, crowned at Alumni Stadium with seven attendants, a "Harvest Moon" dance, and the Alumni Band playing alongside the Marching Ironmen for good measure. That's a proper homecoming weekend right there. On a more somber note, an 18-year-old entered a guilty plea in connection with the crash that took the life of off-duty Wellston officer Matthew Juniper β a case the community has been watching closely.
On the lighter side of your week, the Jackson Elks Lodge is hosting a $10 charity dinner on October 10th β homemade chicken and noodles included, no excuses needed. Rounding out your week: a Zombie Paint Workshop, Family Storytime, and live music from the Lonesome Cowboy Strangers. Real Estate listings and Sports scores are inside too.
