Good morning, Jackson County. A former nuclear site is becoming a data center, and somehow that sentence is completely normal now. Developers gathered in Jackson last week to talk jobs and transformation at the old Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant โ and the employment numbers tied to this project are turning heads. Meanwhile, Holzer Health System gave local seniors their very own Olympics, complete with a torch lighting and the Jackson High School Marching Band. Genuinely one of the best things to happen around here in a while. On the spookier side of the calendar, "Fright at the Fairgrounds" is back in Wellston to terrorize anyone brave enough to show up. If haunted barns aren't your speed, there's a Zombie Paint Workshop and the Lonesome Cowboy Strangers performing live this week. Fresh Real Estate listings and local obituaries are inside too. โ๏ธ What's Brewing Locally โMeet the Developersโ event touts commendable workforce growth throughout area ๐๏ธ A former nuclear site is becoming a major jobs engine.
