A wolfhound, a puppet, and a candidate walk into a bar 👀
Good morning, Athens County. Nelsonville's council has a new face — Leanna Potts was appointed to fill the open seat at a meeting held over at Hocking College, which is a pretty solid venue for local democracy to do its thing. Meanwhile, campaign season rolled right into your neighborhood tavern, as Ohio gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy made a stop at The Red Brick Tavern in Athens to connect with voters over what sounds like a lively evening out.
Fall is clearly arriving on multiple fronts — lantern puppet workshops, a Spooky Phantom Wolfhound Reading, and a violin concert are all queued up on the events calendar this week, which is a very Athens way to ease into October. Fresh real estate listings are inside too.
