The Meigs County Chamber of Commerce & Tourism will host its fourth annual Women in Business Conference on Oct. 8 at The Blakeslee Center in Middleport, Ohio. The event welcomes female professionals, entrepreneurs, students and community leaders for a full day of speakers, panels, networking and a business trade show. 46th Pomeroy Regatta draws plenty for fun, community
🚣 Flooding couldn't sink Pomeroy's beloved 46th annual Regatta. Despite a state of emergency declaration and over 7 inches of rain the prior week, Ohio's Pomeroy community turned out in force for the Sternwheel Regatta, treating it as a welcome relief from flood recovery efforts. While high river levels kept sternwheel boats away, at least 24 captains drove to the event to show their support in person. The 5K race shattered records, drawing 63 runners compared to just 16 the previous year, and free activities filled Main Street throughout the weekend. Read more
