Threats, a med school trustee & coffee that'll change your week β
β
Good morning, Franklin County. Losing a 20-point fourth-quarter lead is painful enough β but the threats that flooded social media targeting Ohio State players and coaches after Saturday's collapse are a whole different kind of low. University and city leaders are drawing a firm line, and rightly so. On a brighter note, Bexley native Annie Feibel just earned a seat on Ohio State's Board of Trustees while still in med school β an overachiever in the best possible way.
Nationally, the Federal Reserve raised interest rates for the first time since 2023, rattling Wall Street and sending bond yields climbing β worth a read before checking those fresh Real Estate listings inside. Meanwhile, the Columbus Coffee Festival is days away, Sports scores are in, and the PupArt Charity Auction is coming up for the dog lovers among us.

University President Ravi Bellamkonda called the threats "unacceptable" and "not the Ohio way," while Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther emphasized that players and coaches deserve safety and community support. Ginther warned that continued threats could trigger a joint investigation by Ohio State and Columbus police. Read more
