Grief, a predator back in court... and a weekend worth escaping to 🌊
Good morning, Franklin County. Central Ohio is grieving today. Monsignor John Johnson, the beloved longtime priest of St. Agatha Church in Upper Arlington, was killed in a pedestrian crash this week — a loss that's hitting the community deeply. Separately, a fatal collision on the U.S. Route 23 ramp off I-270 claimed another life, and federal prosecutors have a repeat child predator back in court on disturbing new charges. Heavy stuff for a Thursday morning, no question.
On a lighter note, the weekend is almost here, and there's no shortage of ways to spend it — a Sea Glass Mosaic Class and a Date With Monet are both on the calendar. Sports scores, fresh Real Estate listings, and a smart Financial Friday reminder are all waiting inside too.

🚨 A repeat predator is back in federal court on new charges. Justin James Jackson, 23, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, was arrested for allegedly producing child pornography involving a 12-year-old victim in Kansas. Jackson allegedly used Discord and TikTok to coerce the child into sending explicit content, then threatened to expose the material to her family if she refused.
