Good morning, Franklin County. Here's something worth circling on your calendar: Remote Area Medical is rolling into Columbus on November 7-8, setting up a completely free dental, vision, and medical clinic at East High School — no insurance, no ID, no catch. Dental work, eye exams, even prescription glasses made on the spot. Meanwhile, a shooting near Wedgewood Village Tuesday night left one person hospitalized, and police are still searching for suspects. On a more hopeful note, those long-empty brick buildings on Arcadia Avenue are finally getting new life as a food hall — concrete pavers, a food truck plaza, and all. Tonight's lineup has something for everyone — Uptown Friday Nights, live music, and a comedy show are all on the events calendar. Sports scores, fresh Real Estate listings, and Financial Friday are waiting inside too. ☕️ What's Brewing Locally Person shot on Briggs Road taken to Grant in stable condition 🔫 A shooting near Wedgewood Village left one person hospitalized. The University Impact District Review Board unanimously approved plans to transform a pair of 1949 brick structures on Arcadia Avenue into a multi-kitchen food destination with indoor and outdoor seating. Developer Ying Fang revised the design based on board feedback, adding concrete pavers, a permanent sun shade, separate pedestrian entrances, and a plaza reserved for food trucks.
