Good morning, Jackson County. Eight schools, one message — and they're delivering it in the best possible way. Buckeye Hills Career Center is rallying students from across the region on October 14th for a Drug Free Clubs of America Band Showcase at Gallipolis City Park, and if marching bands can't make a point stick, nothing can. It's free, it's community, and it's exactly the kind of thing that makes this corner of Ohio worth writing about. A Marine veteran is also bringing his healing mission to Jackson on the 15th through Base Camp Alpha — a story worth reading in full. Trunk-or-Treat season is officially upon us too, with Wellston Nazarene Church kicking things off October 21st. A Channing Wilson country concert, a Witch Hat Workshop, fresh Real Estate listings, and more are all waiting inside. ☕️ What's Brewing Locally Drug-Free Clubs Rally/Band Showcase set for Wednesday, Oct. 14 at Gallipolis City Park 🎶 Eight schools unite to celebrate drug-free living through music.
