Someone's dropping $15K anonymously — find out why 👀
Good morning, Athens County. Someone in Nelsonville is quietly doing something remarkable — an anonymous donor is putting up $15,000 to honor the town's founder with a pocket park, asking for nothing in return. That's the kind of generosity that restores your faith in people. Less cheerful news for Richland Avenue businesses, which are feeling the squeeze from a sewer project closing the street through September 10th.
On the national front, Nvidia just dropped $12.9 billion on AI darling Hugging Face, the FTC is hauling Amazon into court over advertiser overcharges, and private payrolls came in softer than expected in August. Closer to home, Big Fat Head rocks this Friday, a Habitat for Humanity benefit follows next week, and fresh real estate listings are waiting inside. Plenty to dig into today.
