Good morning, Jackson County. A local cannabis dispensary is temporarily closed while state regulators look into two health incidents tied to its products — a developing story worth keeping an eye on. On a brighter note, the Ohio Hill Country Festival just locked in its dates for September 9–12, 2026, and the lineup already sounds like a proper good time: parades, live music, carnival rides, and a free lunch for seniors and veterans. Mark the calendar now.
Theater folks have something to look forward to this weekend too — The Sauk is hosting a "Plays in Development" night that promises some real creative energy downtown. Nationally, markets had a rough stretch before bouncing back Wednesday, and the Fed sent investors a rare bit of good news. Sports, Events, and Real Estate are all loaded up inside.
